Leadership addition reflects Yoodli’s growth trajectory and industry momentum.
SEATTLE, WA — September 25, 2025
Yoodli, the AI-powered roleplay platform redefining how professionals practice and perform, announced today the addition of Andy Larson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The move signals Yoodli’s next stage of growth as the company scales to meet rapidly increasing demand for AI roleplays across sales, customer success, and leadership teams.
Larson brings extensive experience scaling high-growth companies, most recently serving as CFO at Logixboard and holding senior leadership roles at Remitly. At both companies, he guided financial strategy through periods of rapid expansion, raised capital, and built resilient systems that supported long-term growth.
At Yoodli, Larson will lead financial strategy and operations to ensure the company continues to scale responsibly and deliver lasting value for customers. His appointment underscores Yoodli’s commitment to building not just groundbreaking technology, but a durable product that customers can rely on.
The announcement was echoed by Esha Joshi, Yoodli’s Chief Customer Officer and Co-Founder, who emphasized the customer impact: “Bringing Andy on board is a huge win. His experience scaling companies with discipline and transparency means we can keep innovating while ensuring the long-term stability our customers count on.”
“Yoodli is growing quickly, and bringing on an experienced CFO reinforces that we’re building for the long term,” said Varun Puri, CEO and Co-Founder of Yoodli. “His track record at Logixboard and Remitly shows he knows how to scale companies responsibly while keeping the customer experience front and center. That’s exactly the kind of leadership we need as we continue to define the AI roleplay category.”
For Larson, the decision to join Yoodli reflects both the company’s momentum and its mission. “I’m excited to join Yoodli at such a pivotal time,” he said. “I look forward to working closely with the team to build the systems, processes, and financial strength that will support Yoodli’s next chapter.” Yoodli’s AI roleplay platform is trusted by Fortune 100 companies to accelerate ramp time, improve win rates, and prepare teams for the conversations that matter most.
In enterprise sales, practice is just as important as pipeline. Reps need to sharpen discovery, objection handling, and methodology fluency, but training is often disconnected from where sellers actually work.
That changes today with Yoodli AI Roleplays embedded directly in Salesforce CRM.
Now, sellers can build critical skills like discovery via your company’s methodology (e.g. MEDDPICC, Challenger, Value Selling), practice objection handling, and track progress, all without leaving the platform where they already manage their deals.
Salesforce is where sellers already live. It’s where they update opportunities, log activity, and strategize on pipeline. But what if practice, coaching, and progress tracking were right here too?
With Yoodli embedded in Salesforce, reps don’t need to switch tools to uplevel their skills. Instead, they can build muscle memory through practice in the same place they work deals. That means training becomes accessible, repeatable, and sticky, and adoption of your sales methodology accelerates.
A Dedicated Hub for Skills Practice
This isn’t tied to an opportunity object. Instead, Yoodli creates a dedicated training space inside Salesforce:
Open the “Skills Practice” tab to launch Yoodli AI-powered roleplays
Practice discovery, pitch, objection handling or any skill, powered by your company’s IP and sales methodology
Run through a standard roleplay session with AI customers who push back realistically and AI teammates who step in at the right time
After practice, you’ll land in the Dashboard component, where you can instantly see feedback on methodology, content, and delivery.
Want to revisit past work? You can always go back to your Library or upload a new sales meeting recording directly in Salesforce to see feedback and coaching.
Training That Meets Sellers Where They Are
With Yoodli embedded in Salesforce, training doesn’t feel like extra work. It feels like part of selling.
Reps don’t need to touch an opp record to benefit
Practice lives right next to the pipeline, so it’s easy to make skill-building a daily habit
The closer practice lives to the seller, the faster they’ll adopt your methodology and see results in live conversations
Just as multi-player roleplays made teamwork real and multi-persona roleplays let sellers practice group dynamics with complex buying committees, embedding Yoodli into Salesforce now brings that same realism directly into the flow of work.
Sales teams at leading organizations are already using Yoodli to rehearse, align on methodology, and build confidence before high-stakes calls. With Salesforce integration, those teams can now build and reinforce skills in the same place they run their business.
Bring Yoodli into your Salesforce environment today, and turn your CRM into a skills hub for winning more deals.

In enterprise sales, teamwork wins deals. Account executives rarely close alone — they collaborate with solutions engineers, customer success managers, and other specialists to navigate complex buying processes. Yet most sales training still treats reps as individuals.
That’s changing with multi-player roleplays on Yoodli — the first platform where you can practice sales calls with multiple personas on the line:
AI customers, who ask tough questions and raise objections.
AI teammates, who jump in when needed and take on their real-world role.
Or your actual teammates, joining live.
Why Teams Need to Practice Together
Enterprise selling is about more than just polished delivery. It’s about how you and your teammates handle objections, divide responsibilities, and move the customer through a buying journey. A smooth handoff between an AE and a solutions engineer can make or break a deal. A CSM who reassures a hesitant stakeholder can keep the door open.
Until now, practicing these moments as a team was difficult. Yoodli changes that.
Two Powerful Ways to Roleplay as a Team
1. Practice Live with Teammates
On Google Meet, Zoom, WebEx, or Teams, you and your colleagues can run through practice pitches, discovery calls, or objection-handling scenarios where one of you plays the role of the customer. Yoodli listens in and instantly gives feedback — not just on delivery, but on content, methodology, and customer impact.
Did you uncover the business pain? Did you establish value before talking about features? Did your teammate step in at the right time? Yoodli helps entire teams sharpen their playbook, not just individual skills.
2. Practice with AI Teammates and AI Customers
Practice your role as part of a team from your own Yoodli practice space by using our AI avatars to act as the other members of your team. These avatars can jump in much like your real teammates would, handling their parts of the conversation and allowing you to focus on your contributions.
Better yet, you can also bring in AI customers — lifelike buyer personas that challenge you with realistic objections, questions, and dynamics. This means you can rehearse the entire sales scenario from beginning to end!
It’s as close as you can get to the real thing — without the risk of losing the deal.
Trusted by Leading Sales Teams
Yoodli is already powering roleplays at Google, Databricks, Sandler Sales, and hundreds of other leading sales organizations. These companies know that the best teams don’t just practice individually — they rehearse together, align on methodology, and build the muscle memory needed for high-stakes deals.
Multi-player roleplays are more than just a feature — they’re a step toward the future of sales enablement. No more siloed training or one-off coaching sessions. With Yoodli, your team can continuously practice the scenarios that matter most, with AI ensuring consistency and actionable feedback every time.
Whether you’re preparing for a big joint pitch, refining your discovery methodology, or onboarding new team members, Yoodli gives you a safe space to learn, practice, and improve as a team.

We’re excited to announce a new category: AI Roleplays—an experiential learning platform that allows individuals and teams to master real-world conversations through lifelike simulations powered by generative AI. Whether it’s a sales pitch, a manager feedback session, or a media interview, Yoodli provides judgment-free, personalized, just-in-time coaching to help people get better through actual practice.
Think of it as the batting cage before the big game – but for communication. Organizations like Google, Databricks, RingCentral, Snowflake, BDO, and hundreds of others are already using Yoodli to train their employees more quickly, drive improved sales performance, and save manager time.
Our most recent fundraise ($13.7M) will allow us to supercharge this new category and bring Yoodli to enterprises and learners worldwide. Thank you to Neotribe, our lead investor, and to Madrona and Cercano, our existing investors for your ongoing support. This brings our total raised to $20M+.
Why AI Roleplays Are the Future of Learning
Most workplace learning today relies on passive formats like slide decks and training videos that don’t build true conversational muscle memory. In contrast, AI Roleplays let you rehearse critical interactions in realistic environments, get instant feedback, and improve through repetition—just like a flight simulator for communication.
Learning and Development: Manager training, leadership development, performance reviews, compliance
And much more: Media training, healthcare simulations, and public speaking. The possibilities are endless.
You can tailor simulations by language, persona, difficulty level, and feedback style—making learning personalized, engaging, and effective.
Our Journey: From Public Speaking to GTM Enablement
We started Yoodli to help people become more confident communicators. For Varun, it was about breaking down communications barriers as an immigrant in the US. For Esha, it was about leveling the playing field for women in the workplace.
Our AI coach began by tackling public speaking—helping users practice without the pressure of judgment. But it quickly became clear: the need for safe, realistic practice environments went far beyond stage fright. Today, we have hundreds of thousands of users who use Yoodli for everything from mock interviews and speech therapy to sales simulations, executive coaching, and VC pitches. (We even used Yoodli to prep for our own TED talk!)
What’s Next
With this funding, we will:
Expand our team across customer success, sales, and engineering (we’re hiring)
Deepen our AI technology to make roleplays more hyper-realistic and personalized
Scale partnerships with coaching firms, training providers, and ecosystem partners (LMS, CRM, CMS players)
We don’t aim to replace coaches—we amplify their impact with repeatable, scalable practice and feedback. It’s why many of the world’s best coaching firms – Korn Ferry, Toastmasters, Sandler Sales, and others- are using Yoodli to quantify and reinforce their training.
Team Yoodli 2025
A Personal Note of Thanks
We’re thrilled to welcome Neeraj Hablani from Neotribe to our board. Neeraj and Varun’s shared experience at GoogleX— where Varun ran special projects for Sergey Brin and Neeraj led driverless deployments for Waymo—makes this a full-circle moment.
To our team, customers, and early believers: thank you for shaping this journey. And to the learners preparing for that big interview, conversation, or pitch—we’re building this for you.
What is average conversational pace and why does it matter?
Average conversational pace is between 115 – 180 words per minute. If you speak much faster, it could signify nervousness. If you’re much slower, it could bore the audience. While there’s no hard and fast rule about what pace you should speak at, it’s important to vary your pacing throughout the conversation to keep your audience engaged.
Note that pacing is highly context dependent. If you’re on a short call where you want to share multiple ideas, it might be appropriate to talk very fast. In the same vein, if you’re speaking with an audience that is not as comfortable with English, speaking slower can help them grasp what you’re saying.
Either way, make sure you’re using your pacing intentionally (Yoodli can help you track it)
Explanation of how to use the pacing analytic to speak with confidence
How can I speak faster or slower?
On the Yoodli desktop app, make sure you have the pacing live analytic turned on. Anytime you speak faster than the conversational range, Yoodli will give you a quick alert to slow down. Similarly, if you speak too slowly, Yoodli will remind you to go faster.
At the end of the call, you’ll receive a report showing your overall pacing through your call as well as a graph with variation. Make sure to dive into sections where you suddenly went too fast (were you nervous?) or too slow (were you bored or unsure of what to say?)
If you go to www.yoodli.ai/dashboard, you’ll be able to track your pacing over time and see yourself hit your goal!
I have been teaching college level communication courses for 20 years, but I just began using AI in the classroom over the last academic year. In addition to Public Speaking, I teach Argumentation and Debate, Group Dynamics, Interpersonal Communications, and competitive speech and debate. As an educator, I have always tried to make these subjects relevant to the lives of my students. One way I do that is by incorporating technology into the assignments. Because I embraced exciting new tools like ChatGPT and Yoodli, this last academic year turned out to be both the most revolutionary and most positively received that I can remember.
It was the last week of the semester, and I had tasked my public speaking students with composing a farewell speech to the class. As I gave them some last minute pointers on this particular speech, I reminded them to use their artificial intelligence (AI) speech coach, Yoodli. It was then that a student asked if they could continue to use Yoodli after the semester was over.
“Little did I know that Yoodli would serve as the gateway into my unanticipated journey of blending AI with teaching“
How My Year of Teaching with AI Began
Yoodli is one AI tool you can seamlessly incorporate into the classroom.
One year ago, a colleague introduced me to Yoodli. When he described it as an AI speech coach that offers automatic feedback on a variety of linguistic aspects, I was curious, but I had no reference point for what AI was capable of. I pictured the automatic transcriptions that YouTube generated. I already had plenty of experience with using it for certain projects, and while those are helpful, the idea of a more reliable transcript did not strike me as anything that would upend my approach to teaching. Little did I know that Yoodli would serve as the gateway into my unanticipated journey of blending AI with teaching, and would set the tone for a profound shift in my approach to pedagogy over the coming twelve months.
Yoodli’s impressive capabilities took me by storm, leaving me inspired and eager to explore its potential. It promised to analyze verbal fillers, monitor noninclusive language choices, count words, assess conciseness, and more. The thought of such a tool’s potential to enhance the quality of speech and communication was staggering. So, I jumped in with both feet. As someone devoted to education for nearly two decades, I could not resist the allure of incorporating this tool into my online course content. I was already writing a textbook for public speaking, so I wrote in exercises and instructions for Yoodli during the final revisions; I even put images of Yoodli analytics on the cover.
The Role of AI in Academia
My passion did not go unnoticed. Yoodli invited me to join them at the National Communication Association Conference in November last year. I was thrilled about the opportunity, hoping to see my peers share my excitement. I also felt a responsibility to share the broad potential of this AI tool with my fellow educators. However, to my surprise, my enthusiasm was not mirrored by the average college professor. On one hand, this lack of shared excitement was disappointing. I wanted my peers to see the potential I saw in Yoodli. I hoped they would embrace the power of AI in improving communication. On the other hand, their skepticism cemented my role in academia as a vocal advocate for the responsible integration of technological tools into communication classes.
Change in academia is slow, which puts it at odds with the capabilities of AI. In a remarkably short span of time, I saw the transformative effects of Yoodli on my students’ speech. For hundreds of my students, it decreased verbal fillers at a rate I hadn’t seen in 20 years of teaching. There were minor hiccups, as is inevitable when integrating new technologies, but the payoff was worth it. The students were impressed, and the confidence in their speaking abilities was notable.
“The landscape of teaching and learning is changing rapidly, and riding this wave of progress is as exhilarating as it is daunting”
I already committed to introducing as many students and colleagues to this tool. But just when I thought I had wrapped my head around Yoodli’s transformative power, another game-changing AI was released—ChatGPT. I was once again amazed and intrigued. The heavy lifting of speech preparation was now automated, streamlining the process of crafting human presentations. Essentially, in one year, AI had revolutionized the landscape of speech delivery from start to finish.
As someone working on the front lines of academia, I find it increasingly crucial to react responsibly to these technological advancements. Developing guidelines for responsible AI use, especially for my students, has become an essential part of my role. After all, AI is a double-edged sword. While it has the potential to significantly improve learning, it poses ethical and practical challenges that we need to address. In the face of these rapid advancements, the overwhelming influx of AI tools addressing a myriad of niche problems can be daunting. However, I am learning to confront these challenges and identify the most relevant and reliable technologies for my courses. My commitment is to streamline their integration and make the transition as seamless as possible for my students.
As new tools like ChatGPT burst onto the scene, we need to make an effort to responsibly incorporate them into the classroom.
Using AI as a Teacher: Final Reflections
As the academic year comes to a close and summer sets in, I find myself in a familiar pattern—taking a breather and planning for the year ahead. This time, my focus is on weaving AI tools into my course content, aiming to bolster my teaching efficacy and enhance my students’ learning experiences. The landscape of teaching and learning is changing rapidly, and riding this wave of progress is as exhilarating as it is daunting.
As I reflect on this year of teaching with AI, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation. The world is moving fast, and technology is shaping every sphere, including education. I have made a commitment to keeping up with this progress. This means responsibly adopting tools like Yoodli and GPT to prepare my students for the future. It’s been a year of transformation, discovery, and growth—one that I will cherish as a pivotal chapter in my academic journey.

What if you could banish your fear of public speaking and improve your skills at the same time? How can AI speech coaching help? What’s the future of AI in communication?
We’re excited to share the first-ever TEDx Talk written by AI. Yoodli co-founder Varun Puri delivered the speech on March 23, 2023, at the Hafen Theatre at Tuacahn as part of TEDxStGeorge. Not only was the presentation written by AI, Varun prepared his delivery exclusively using the Yoodli AI speech coach.
Believe it or not, Varun used to be terrified of public speaking. Being able to practice his speaking in a private, judgment-free environment (with AI) has been transformative for him. Yoodli gave him suggestions on how to be more concise, rephrased sections of his speech, and even provided analytics on his filler words, pacing, eye contact, and much more.
Below, we’ll share the highlights of Varun’s talk. He discusses how you, too, can use generative AI-powered speech coaching to write and deliver compelling talks. He also shares Yoodli’s exciting vision for the future of AI in communication.
Public Speaking the Old Way
You might not think about it, but you’re public speaking all the time—presenting reports at work, answering questions in an interview, making a toast at dinner, or introducing yourself to new people. But, it’s likely that you’re among the two-thirds of the population who are afraid of public speaking. Even if you try to avoid it, you’re called upon to speak in public settings time and time again.
You know how it is—the night before a speech, a presentation, or an interview. Your heart pounds. You pace back and forth as you try to memorize what you plan to say. Feeling awkward, you talk to a mirror or a webcam. Maybe you muster up the courage to ask a friend for feedback.
Feedback is indeed the breakfast of champions. But, it can be hard to put yourself out there to be judged. That’s all part of the fear of public speaking! What if you could get feedback that doesn’t carry the weight of uncomfortable judgment?
Public Speaking the New Way
Advances in a new form of artificial intelligence called generative AI are making this a reality today. Computers are generate human-like content in response to specific questions. You might have heard of some of these platforms, such as DALL-E and ChatGPT. These systems can instantly generate images, poems, songs, videos—anything we can think of—from scratch.
So, what does generative AI have to do with public speaking? Corporate executives work with professional speech coaches to sound more polished. With generative AI, we can bring that kind of speech coaching to everyone. You can get coaching and feedback for your communication in interviews, meetings, and even Zoom calls.
Let’s say you’re preparing for a presentation. AI speech coaching gives you feedback on your word choices and delivery. For example, you used too many filler words, there were segments where you spoke way too fast, and you maintained good eye contact throughout.
The Future of AI Speech Coaching
This is all possible today. People all over the world are already using AI speech coaching. But, things start to get really exciting when we dream about the future.
Imagine if your AI speech coach not only wrote your script but also created an avatar of you delivering your presentation. Then, you’d have a clear vision to strive for. You could see yourself giving a polished and passionate speech. Then, imagine yourself giving your presentation. Your AI speech coach nudges you to remind you to smile more and stop fidgeting.
Yoodli Today & Tomorrow
Generative AI can help us all become better communicators. It’s why we’re building Yoodli. It’s a private realtime and judgment-free AI-powered speech coach that can help you land your dream job because you’ve learned how to present yourself with conviction and poise. It can partner with you to get the promotion you deserve because you communicate with clarity and deliver your presentations with the gusto they want to see.
Most importantly, Yoodli AI speech coaching can help you speak from your heart with more confidence, thoughtfulness, and self-awareness. That’s the magic of generative AI and public speaking.
